it’s baaaaack

Heya, and welcome to turkeynecks.com. I’m very, very sorry for the delay in updating the site; these past few weeks have been hectic to say the least. I have, in no particular order: almost been transferred out of state, dealt with MasterCard’s lawyers concerning the whole “ad” thing, kissed ass to a higher up for my job, worked on a follow-up to the Gore “ad,” been interviewed for the Wall Street Journal, and dealt with the rabid mall shoppers in preparation for Annual Gift Giving Day.

First and foremost, due to the outcry of thousands of my closest friends, I am reposting the Gore “ad,” with one noticeable change: the MasterCard logo has been replaced.

MasterCard did call me a few weeks ago, and to be honest, they were very cool about the whole situation. I was given permission to repost the “ad” with the one change, and so there you go.

To anyone who may have taken the image and posted it on their own website, please remove it and replace it with this one. Like I said, MasterCard was very cool about the whole thing, but there’s absolutely no reason to push our luck, right?

The infamous Al Gore-MasterCard parody. Please don’t sue me.

I was almost transferred to Washington DC last week. It appears to have fallen through, so never mind, but, if anyone wants to give me a job somewhere outside of Louisiana…

The hate mail has really slacked off. A few weeks ago, I was getting so much that I could be selective about what I posted. Now, most everything is either an “I loved it” note or someone who deleted the “ad” and wants me to send it to them.

God, Democrats may not be able to vote properly, but Republicans have trouble saving email attachments. You decide what’s worse.

That’s it for today. I know I’ve been slacking, but I promise to get at least one new section, probably Revered Bill’s Bible Study, online this week. Bill took forever to get me his first installment, but it’s in and ready to be posted. (If you think I got hate mail, wait until you see how much Bill gets!)

Speaking of other sections, if anyone has any ideas for something to add to turkeynecks.com, give me a shout and let me hear about it. I’m all about content, but I’m also all about being lazy. I’d be willing to work with anyone on a design if they can provide something new and exciting to the site. It has to be entertaining, though, so please don’t send any pictures of your cat or anything like that…

Lastly, Gladys, I wish you wouldn’t have said that horrible thing to me the other day, but I’ll forget about it. In time…
